Last week on June 22, 2017 the Maui County Council, Policy, Economic Development and Agriculture Committee had a discussion on Open Data (PEA-23) also referred to as County Communications 17-77. Council Member Yuki Lei Sugimura who chairs the committee asked me to provide an overview presentation of open data. You can view the full session here.
The discussion was lively and focussed on what you could accomplish with an open data policy and how do you ensure data integrity. The bill was not voted on in this committee meeting and will be heard (and discussed further) in the next PEA Committee meeting. Stay tuned…
